Prescribing

We provide face-to-face & Video consultations and prescription services for non-prescribing aesthetic practitioners within Nottinghamshire.

In 2012, the General Medical Council (GMC) in the UK introduced regulations stating that remote prescribing of prescription-only botulinum toxin products—such as Botox, Vistabel, Azzalure, Dysport, Xeomin, and Bocouture—is no longer permitted. Doctors, nurses, or other prescribers must see a patient in person before issuing a prescription for these medications. Remote prescribing via telephone, fax, email, or internet voice calls is prohibited, and violations of this rule may lead to disciplinary action, including a fitness to practice hearing.

At A1 Medical Aesthetics (A1MA) our Pharmacist Independent Prescriber offers face-to-face consultation and prescription services throughout the Nottinghamshire area.

Before prescribing, the following will be required:

Professional registration number of the practitioner

Insurance

Training certificates

We can travel to your clinic for a minimum of three patient consultations. For individual consultations, we offer in-clinic services. You can book a consultation online at our West Bridgford clinic in Nottingham, and you are welcome to accompany your patient if you wish.

Electronic prescriptions can be sent to any pharmacy of your choice.
